One of my favorite places on MV is the marina at Menemsha Village & getting a lobster roll there for lunch. It's cute shops, delicious homemade ice cream, very nice people, and beautiful, relaxing sights & scenery. We have been there in the sun and the rain, and still, it's never a disappointment. I have stayed at both islands, but in recent years, it's always a day trip. Also, I would be happy to answer more questions if you want to chat. I don't think you'll be disappointed! I would email the chamber of commerce for tourist books for these places, this week, so you have time to read & compare. They are both worth the money!! I love both so much. We & I love both though! Prices are more expensive on Nantucket, Shops are beautiful on both islands. If you're traveling with children, there is more to do on Martha's Vineyard. If you are traveling with an adult group, Nantucket is lovely. It's about an hour long and well worth doing once. It's fantastic & fills you in on the history & details of the island. Then you can get to south beach, with the biggest waves, see the light house, the towns with the cobbled streets, etc. If you go there, you can purchase bus tickets right at the docks. We bought our ferry tickets a couple days in advance. You can go over on any ferry, but have to commit to a specific return ferry time, of your choice. This year, the ferry to MV was only about 25 - 30% capacity, with many empty rows between groups of people. You don't want to spend 2 - 3 hours getting there. 0.1 mi - European Vegetarian Friendly Vegan Options. If you go, take the FAST ferry! It's a little more expensive, but well worth it. My daughter ate the hot dog - seemed to be the best of all options The sandwich is 1 thin slice of ham, 1 thin slice of cheese, mostly bread. The cheeseburger is something you don't want to put in your mouth - there is a reason why it is cheap. We went on Sunday, when Festival of Flowers is happening in Medellin (by plan) - the place was not crowded at all, which definitely made it a better experience.
